Produced by Toby Wright and Gene Simmons/Paul Stanley. Recorded at Music Grinder Studios, Hollywood, CA; November 1995 - February 1996. Engineered and mixed by Toby Wright, assisted by David Bryant. Mastered by Steve Marcussen. Photography by William Hames. Introduction to Hate is, "Ladies and Gentlemen, from Boise, Idaho... direct from the Paramount Theatre... 12 years-old, little Billy Corgan," with "Corgan" backwards-masked. An untitled instrumental track, given the moniker "Outromental" by Robert Conte, should have been included as a teaser some 30 seconds after the end of track 12, unfortunately it was not and only appears on some copies of the advance tape. The instrumental was restored to the version of "Childhood's End" for the 2001 Box Set. The 2005 reissue has no differences to original 1997 release. The US 2014 LP issue has an unfortunate error including the Casablanca logo on the record cover spine...
