The man sitting behind me in sparsely-populated Cobo Arena last night busied himself buying ice cream for his 4-year-old boy. A touching sight, father and son sharing a generational bond. While the majority of the crowd was comprised of the fuzzy-cheeked heavy metal males who have always been foot soldiers of the 'KISS Army,' their ranks didn't halt a recurring doubt about this band 10 years after. The worst possible thing has happened to KISS: It has become ordinary. Its sideshow no long holds thrills and danger...
